The body of Mrs. LC Bentley who died at her home in Anderson Tuesday was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery Thursday afternoon. The funeral was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Thursday afternoon. The funeral was held at the ME Church at Anderson and the body sent her eon a special car by traction for burial.  Dr. Salem B. Town and Dr. HA Gobin of DePauw University were in charge of short services at the grave. The pall bearers were members of the Phi Psi fraternity, Herman Yeager, Harold St. Clair, John St. John, Clifton Simpson, Phil Maxwell and Alvin Heskitt. Among those here for the funeral of Mrs. LC Bentley were Paul Niff, Miss Josephine Bentley and Rev .LC Bentley of Anderson. - kz

Anderson, Ind Feb 7 – Mrs. Josephine Bentley age 51, wife of the Rev. Layton C. Bentley, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church here died today at the parsonage of the church.  She was stricken Sunday with a cerebral hemorrhage at her home and became unconscious last night. Before her marriage, Mrs. Bentley was Miss Josephine Eads of Greencastle. She was a graduate of DePauw University.  The family moved here from Vincennes two years ago. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Gerald Bentley, a student at DePauw University and one daughter, Miss Josephine Bentley, a pupil in Anderson HS.  Funeral services will be held at the First ME Church at 10 a.m. Thursday. The body will be taken to Greencastle for burial.
